This page shows general feedback from parents and young people about what they think of their time scouting with us. This is often as families move away or as young people change Sections or as Young Leaders become adults"G has very much enjoyed her time in Scouts and all the activities she has had the chance to participate in. Thank you for your time in making these opportunities possible."
"L had a great time last night as always. Thank you for such a great Cub group. He comes home every week bursting with things he wants to share, he is always enthusiastic about Cubs and has even chosen to hold a class talk at school about Cubs. Thank you to all involved in the running of Cubs, you are all doing a great job, I really appreciate it"."Sadly D has decided to leave Cubs. We'd like to say a huge thank-you to yourself, Anne-Marie, Ken and all the leaders and people involved, for all the hard work and dedication that you all put into ensuring that all the cubs have a safe, fun, entertaining and educational time. I know that D has experienced some great activities and adventures at Beavers & Cubs and we were hoping that he'd continue onto Scouts. However after discussing it with him he would still like to leave and as you have a long waiting list, its probably fairer for us to let him and allow another child the amazing opportunity of being in the Scout movement. Thank you all again for all the time and energy that you all put in, its has been greatly appreciated and wishing you every success with all your 40th year celebrations.""We are moving house soon. C and I would like to thank you and your team for all the fun, adventure and diversity that R has had in the Fenstanton and Hilton Scout Group. He will miss it. Hopefully we will be able to find another accommodating group as good as yours soon."
"It feels like the end of an era – a very pleasant one I might add, and I don’t think a simple thank you will ever cover our appreciation of the hours and hours of time and thought which you both and your extended team put into Scouts. So whilst I’m saying thank you, I mean much more than that. Scouting has been terrific for the boys and the lessons and experiences will never be forgotten. Wishing you all the very best for future Scouts and your team"Thankyou very much for all the great times I've had in Scouts. I've been able to go places and do things that I would never have been able to if I didn't join. Thanks to everyone for giving up their time to help out - Jamie MThank you for such a great time with you all - Harry WThank you so much for all the fun I've had at Cubs and also thank you for having me - Jack W Just to say thank you very much for thelovely memory box , it's contents and the 1st Fenstanton & Hilton Snaggle (he will go in pride of place on my bed at uni!). Can't belive it's been 4 years since I started - have had a fantastic time with the Cubs, it has been really fun and a lot of great characters there. But I will definately be back to help whenever I'm back from uni!I would like you to know how much the boys and I have enjoyed being part of the Fenstanton and Hilton Scout Group. I am personally really sad to be leaving the group however as I feel I have made some valuable friends and met some really lovely people.Thank you once again to everyone for providing my lovely boys with so many opportunities and joyful times that they most certainly would not have been able to enjoy if it had not been for you fantastic team of great people.I never tire of saying how important scouts has been for Emma. Before she started all those years ago she was soooo shy I thought she would never overcome it. By going to scouts she developed so much confidence and clearly felt like an important and much relevant fish in a small pond and I honestly believe being valued as she was/is helped her to become the very capable young person she is today. So thanks again and to all the other adults who helped her on her way!!The scouting movement gives the boys something they would not experience anywhere else and helps to mould them as people. Justin was thrilled to bits to receive his 'trophy' and I think it will take pride of place in every room he is in. When we get it back you can be sure it will be well looked after!!Finally, thank you for letting me have the stall and for helping me all the way through my Ghana fundraising from my first event on sunrise morning, to cleaning at your house, to this- the end!!!(Although I will still be back at Beavers in September unless Hills gets the better of me...) IThis will be Tom's last couple of weeks with Fenstanton and Hilton Scout Group, he's off to Explorers in September, and now it's hard to imagine him as a little tiny beaver, all those years ago!! It has been a fantastic journey for him and we are both really grateful for all the opportunities it has given him and all the amazing experiences he's had with the Scouts over the years. We were really sorry about Paddy’s decision and would like to thank you for everything scouting has given him – he has always loved the parades and doing the Big Breakfast every year!Thank you so much for the necklace, it is gorgeous and when I wear it, it will remind me of all the great opportunities Scouting has given me over the years and will hopefully continue to do so. I would just like to say a big thank-you to everyone in the Fenstanton group for all of their help over the years. The Sampson family would like to add our thanks to all the leaders and helpers who give up their time so our children can enjoy the many activities that are organised. The Scout Group gives them a sense of belonging as well as essential life skills - how not to pack a bag if you want everything to remain dry, and "walking along the corridor before climbing up the stairs" on map referencing! Scouting teaches many things, respect, responsibility, appreciation, kindness, humanity and friendship among a very long list of attributes. It is a wonderful organisation and you all do a wonderful job!
