Discretionary Fund
This has been established to try and ensure that as far as possible all the children in our Group can take part in all the activities they wish too, irrespective of parental ability to pay. Scouting is all about offering new experiences and we are keen for our entire Group to be able to do so.
This fund can help with such things as subsidising camp fees or uniform purchase. Alternatively we may be able to offer an interest free loan with a repayment schedule to suit the family concerned, if that is preferred.
The Leaders only discuss with the Treasurer and Chairman any requests for help. (Everything will be treated in total confidence).
So if your child would like to go on that camp and you have said no – please think again and get in touch! That’s why we have the fund :-)
