We are a very active Scout Group delivering a challenging programme for all ages and abilities, requiring them to do more than just turn up and talk to their friends! For ages 17 and under please may we suggest you look at the relevant Section of our web site to see what's involved (age 6-8, look at Beavers; age 8-10.5, look at Cubs; age 10.5-14 look at Scouts; and 14-18 look at Explorers and/or Young Leaders.)
Then just contact us to start the process - stating your child's full name, date of birth, full home address and a telephone number. We look forward to hearing from you, and will get back to you via email as soon as we can!
The great thing about Scouting is volunteering to help is always about what you can do not what you can't, so there is certain to be a role for you. Believe it or not you don't even need to camp if you prefer not to!
We appreciate that some adults will be able to offer only a few hours once a year whilst other may feel able to help for several hours each week. Equally some adults prefer to work directly with the young people whilst others may prefer more of a background role. Here's some examples of roles in our Group.
We aim to have leadership teams of sufficient numbers so that not everyone has to be at every meeting or event—meaning shift workers or those who work away from home some weeks can join the fun too.
If you're interested in becoming an adult volunteer, that's fantastic! Please don't hesitate to get in touch - we look forward to hearing from you.
